Harris County Cares Act: Job Placement and Reentry Initiative Project Scope

This project aimed to boost awareness of job training programs, increase enrollment, and strengthen community connections throughout Harris County. Shavon played a key role by developing outreach strategies that focused on reaching people most affected by economic challenges.

Understanding Community Needs & Reaching the Right Audiences

  1. We started by looking closely at what people in the community needed and what might be holding them back. This included folks from low-income backgrounds, people who lost their jobs during COVID-19, youth and reentry populations and groups that haven’t always had equal access to support.

  2. Smart Marketing & Community Outreach

    We created a well-rounded marketing plan that used several ways to reach people—from digital ads and social media to community events and local partnerships. The focus was on using clear, respectful messaging that felt relatable and trustworthy to different cultures and communities across Harris County.

Graphic Design Rebranding

  • Revamped the visual identity of SERJOBS with new logos, brochures, and marketing materials.
